These cottage look like two halves of the same building, but they are actually detached and entirely self-contained; the roof continues over the archway (which separates the pair) to add to the architectural appeal and to support the clock turret. The kitchen and bathrooms at the front look onto the Kilmichael Woods, which are now part of the Glenrickard Forest, administered by the Forestry Commission, and home to the occasional deer as well as many red suirrels.
The bedrooms and the spacious sitting room face west onto their own private gardens and across to Glen Cloy, Sgiath Bhan and Goatfell. Each has underfloor central heating and a beautiful marble fireplace with real-flame gas fire. French doors lead onto private patio gardens.

These are mirror images of Finch and Bluebird. They face the Cloy Burn and Glen Cloy. All 4 make a picturesque group around the 4 private, fenced gardens which together form a sheltered suntrap.
As with all our cottages, they are finished to 5-star standards. Furnished thoughout with solid mahogany pieces (including the lovely sleigh beds), gilt-framed pictures and a fascinating collection of “objets”, they are far more special and stylish that the word “cottage” conveys.
Full, controllable, underfloor central heating ensures warmth and comfort all year round. The sitting rooms are particularly light and spacious and each has a classic, limestone chimney-piece with electric fire to make a grand focal point. Each bedroom (one twin and one double per cottage) has its own bathroom en suite. The “master” bathrooms even have walk-in digital showers as well as whirlpool baths. “Heron” and “Mallard” also have sofabeds to accommodate a fifth person, who will also have access to his or her own further half-bathroom.

Peacock Cottage is named for our tame and friendly peacocks, who seem especially attracted to it: they occasionally perch on the bedroom window ledges or come to the kitchen door looking for treats. It is a light and spacious house with large en suite bedrooms and a living room which has windows on three sides, including French windows onto its private patio and garden. It has an upright piano in the hall.

Vane Cottage is named for the gilded unicorn weather vane over the front porch and is probably the most "cottage-like" of them all. It is a cosy, fresh and bright holiday home, facing south onto the Stable Court, across its own small front garden.
